Media release: Pacific Coast Design (PCD) has signed an agreement with Kancharla & Giridhari Homes Pvt Ltd for the site planning and golf course design for a new 18-hole residential/resort golf project.
Planning has already commenced for the project with workshops finalising the various components and concepts developed.
About 50 kilometres north of Hyderabad city centre, the project will include a hotel and serviced apartments and will be marketed as a ‘retirement lifestyle’.
The site has 1,400 metres frontage to two rivers with the land moving gently from main road access to the rivers. A key feature is the established trees on site that the design will respect.
The golf course is planned as a par-72 of around 6,550 yards with five holes directly alongside the river frontage.
Work on construction of the first nine holes is expected to commence in December.
An Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, PCD commenced operations as a golf course design company in 1986.
Since then, the company has sculpted courses in Australia, China, India, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Meanwhile, PCD directors Phil Ryan and Lina Luo will attend this month’s China Golf Managers Conference at Hainan’s Sun Valley Golf Club (October 23-26).
Ryan said: “This will be the fifth conference attended by PCD and, as always, it will be good to meet up with golf industry friends from across China.”
